The primary objective is for the community to get involved in the process to prevent adverse situation of food shortages and lack of livelihood programs. The lack of production inputs hinders the progress in our community. The rain water diversion system will be able to serve the needs of the community.
1. Farmers around the site were rice and corn is the principal food crop they depend on. With this system we shall provide them the opportunity to increase rice production because double cropping (second planting) is now possible; water source from diversion system now serve this requirements. To date only once a year we produced staple food crop like rice because fields lack irrigation.
2. Families that depend on daily food sustenance have to develop sustainable programs, products that requires daily water supply to grow abundantly. Examples; products mention in Bahay Kubo, animal and poultry products.
3. Provide workers in agricultural products development. Utilization of idle land into tropical plants; Mango, Cacao, Coffee and many more fruit bearing plants.
