NATURAL RAIN WATER DIVERSION DAM PROJECT

RAIN WATER DIVERSION DAM SYSTEM:

Water for agriculture is increasingly recognized as a major constraint to improving the lives of the poor community and important component of livelihood programs. The present situations needs implementable and practical solution for limited crop production. “Rain Water Diversion Dam system” is a must and practical system.

Our vision to construct bigger rain water diversion system will creates greater opportunities, bigger and wider coverage of beneficiaries in our Barangay. We will be able to serve the needs of farmers that cultivate mostly dependent on rice and corn production.

The Department of Agriculture, particularly, the bureau of soils and water management, will provide technical support to develop and construct the rain water diversion system.

Integrated Agricultural Management, Tobias Fornier, Antique, is a non- profit organization committed to help facilitate affordable, accessible, and appropriate agricultural services. We would create opportunities that link farmers from a few of the most under-served communities in our Province. The project will provide farmer’s beneficiaries needed implements, importantly, water to increase their yearly rice yield and to improve their livelihood projects. Secondly, the right information’s they need to implement scientific land utilization. Thirdly, we shall provide them the opportunity to be part of our long term production development and sustainable programs. The potential irrigation development can contribute towards food security and improved community welfare.

As an organization we want to engage with the process of preparing the community to be sustainable and productive. Once this incentive is implemented rice field’s productions will increase, extensive utilization of idle land will produce long term but sustainable crops for livelihood programs. Then, we can encourage urbanized province mates and relatives to migrate back to their original birthplace a chance to improve their lives.
